WELCOME TO NETSETGO
Tiny Totts NetStart
For 4-5 year olds encouraging hand eye coordination, learning to be part of a team, learning new games, introducing the ball and having fun with other NetStart participants!
NetSetGO is Netball Australia’s only junior entry netball program. It has been developed to provide children from 5 to 8 years with the best possible learning and playing experience to develop a positive introduction to netball, ensuring enjoyment and continued participation.
The program offers an opportunity for children to increase their social and motor skills in a friendly and fun environment. It creates a quality first experience of Netball for each participant and builds a pathway into local Netball Associations to encourage continued involvement in the sport.
The program has come such a long way in Cairns and we were fortunate to be called the biggest Net Set Go centre in Australia 2 years in a row for 2013 & 2014. We strive to do our very best for the children who are involved in NetSetGO. We hope to improve and develop more netballers for the future. This is such a lovely sport and it’s good to be able to give back with such a rewarding program. NetSetGO in 2017 has been successful with the hopes to grow in 2018. With the introduction of moving NetSetGO from Saturday mornings to Tuesday afternoons.
We have some wonderful coaches this year. Some new and some who know the program quite well. It’s been such a good start and its great to see how beneficial the program is in the development of young children both girls and boys. We want netball to grow and the best place to start is from our grassroots.

Netta Netball is the next step up from NetSetGO! Netta is club based and is a modified game of Netball for 8-10 year olds. The rules and equipment have been designed to align the game with the psychological and physical capabilities of young children. This program provides:
- all children with the opportunity to participate and experience a feeling of success from their participation
- an opportunity for children to play in a co-operative way and to develop their skills in a non-competitive environment
- an environment where the emphasis is not on “win-at-all-costs” but rather on the development of skills, the discovery of new ones and sharing the play with other team mates
